In today's entry I want to talk about the following television
commercial,which you can sometimes see on Japanese TV.
Please watch it at first:
Target Audience
I think this commercial is probably directed at Children who are main user of Nintendo DS and
also adults who like to play computer game.
I thought like this because adults are used in this cm.
If the maker wanted only children to buy that soft, they'd use only kids
and make them play gladly.
Authority
Another thing we notice immediately is that this commercial uses the Japanese
really famous comedic team, the "Ninety Nine". You can find out more about them

Also the name DS is also big authority, I think. It's quit popular now and every children
and some adults want to play with it.
By using "Ninety Nine", our interest for DS which is in our mind beforehand
is reinforced.
Emotion
The commercial attracts audience's interest by setting the locations in many
country.
First,audience get a question " Why is he in many place, in spite of that
this is a commercial for game soft in Japan?"
Then they notices that the appeal point of this game is that
you can play people from around the world!
I think it very good way to get audience's attention and attract them.
nd actors very excited and enjoyableressions are also meke audiences want to
play it.
Then audiences attracted much more with surpeising emotion.
And! One more thing I can tell you about "emotion" part of this cmommercial
is that it contains the punch line which all of the audiences expected from when
they saw the comedic team "Ninety Nine." Becaese of this, the audiences are
impressed by the commercial more deeply.
Logic/information
The audience can't get so many information about the game soft.
They can see the playing pictur and hear a little play sound
And they notice that they don't use astick on that game.
How much it costs.
The game soft have already saled.
I think it's okay, but if they show more about contents of it like
"How is the story/system/character" ,
the commercial is more clear and carefully.
Evaluation
I think this commercial is attractive, especially, basically, of course, for people who like playing videogame and Mario and Luiizi. And also people who like the comedic team "Ninety-Nine" are
taken their attention.
But when it comes to explain how the product is, this commercial could be better, with some extra information.
So on a scale of 1-10, I would rate this commercial a good solid 9.
But for people I refered to before, it can be perfect score, 10.

I haven't played computer game for long long time though, I really want to play Mario Kart!!
It means,as you wrote, this cm attracts even adults!!It's amazing.
I like 'Ninety-nine' and I also like their performance.The cloths of Mario and Luiizi suit them well. I think this ad attracts both children and adults,too!!
